As a Secursus customer, you know that the insurance of the transported goods is valid for 14 days. After this period, your parcel is no longer considered insured by Secursus.
If, however, the package has not yet arrived at its destination and has not been received by the recipient, we strongly recommend that you take the initiative and file a claim with us. It does not matter if your goods are simply delayed, or if you just have not heard anything about the delivery, this preventive complaint is very useful.
This declaration allows Secursus to follow the parcels and to advise you in the best possible way in your steps, the management of your complaint, as well as to guide you in the complaint procedure and its steps.
Sometimes, the parcel is delayed because of a simple administrative problem: most of the time it is a problem with customs documents or a lack of information. In this case, the progress of your parcel is disrupted and can be slowed down, causing a delay in delivery.
In this case, your role is to contact the carrier you have chosen to send your package. Do not hesitate to ask for the reasons for the delay using the tracking number of your package and thus unblock the situation.
Also contact the recipient of the package if you are the sender and vice versa if you are the recipient. In order to do everything possible to unblock the situation as soon as possible.
How to open a Secursus claim ?
Opening a claim with Secursus is very simple! It only takes a few minutes.
You have two options:
You can open a complaint directly on the Secursus website by going to your customer area and clicking on "report an incident"
Or by using the link in the confirmation email you received when you subscribed to the insurance.
It is preferable to open this claim - even though in the vast majority of cases the parcel arrives safely at its destination - in order to protect you as a customer.
This claim is considered "preventive" because it is very common for parcels to be delayed and not really lost.
Once the parcel has been received, the claim that has served as additional protection up to that point can be closed.
