Valentin Scemama

As the Co-Founder of Secursus, my approach to logistics is built on a decade of hands-on experience in two very different worlds: corporate insurance and high-value collectibles.

My career began in the traditional insurance sector, where I learned the intricate mechanics of risk coverage. However, the real turning point came when I pivoted to become a professional expert in vintage watches. Shipping these fragile, high-value timepieces around the world revealed a glaring gap in the market. I realized that the insurance options proposed by standard carriers were often riddled with exclusions, unclear terms, and complicated claim processes that failed to protect shippers effectively.

I created Secursus to close this gap building the solution I wished I had as a merchant.

With over 10 years of experience bridging the worlds of insurance and logistics, I now dedicate my time to sharing this knowledge. On this blog, I look beyond the jargon to provide actionable advice. Whether you need to understand how to pack a fragile item, navigate complex customs regulations, or simply know how to ship specific merchandise securely, my goal is to guide you through the best practices that protect your bottom line.
