Above £2,500 it is not available, and jewellery, watches, gold, precious stones, antiques and fur are excluded from compensation entirely, so valuables cannot be covered with Parcelforce. Why insure your Parcelforce parcel with Secursus?

Secursus is dedicated parcel insurance that covers your Parcelforce shipment at its full value, up to £90,000 per parcel, including the jewellery, watches, gold, art and antiques Parcelforce excludes from compensation.

Our shipping insurance reimburses these items at their real value, with no depreciation and no excess, and you never disclose your parcel's value to the carrier (except for customs).

Why should you use additional insurance for your Parcelforce parcel?

When you compare parcel solutions, Parcelforce's limits stand out: £2,500 maximum cover, depreciated payouts and valuables excluded outright. Secursus insures 99% of goods sold online, even the riskiest, up to £90,000 per parcel.

Parcelforce is part of Royal Mail Group and shares many of the same limits, so see our Royal Mail insurance and DPD insurance pages too.

You only pay for what you insure, from £1.50, with no subscription and no commitment.

Support and compensation

As an in-house insurer we run an online claims platform that guides you through every step. Report a Parcelforce loss or damage promptly, open your Secursus claim within 14 days of shipping, and we aim to pay within 72 hours of a complete file, 30 days maximum.

Coverage

Our cover goes up to £90,000 per parcel and includes the items Parcelforce excludes: watches, jewellery, precious stones, art, antiques, musical instruments and collectibles, reimbursed at their full declared value with no depreciation.

Safety

If your Parcelforce parcel is delayed, lost or damaged, open a claim with Parcelforce first, then with Secursus. Keep your proof of posting and proof of value such as an invoice or receipt, and declare the real value when you take out cover.

Postage costs are not refunded on Parcelforce damage claims, and consequential loss is never covered, another reason to protect the parcel's real value with Secursus.

Is Parcelforce a reliable carrier?

Parcelforce Worldwide is part of Royal Mail Group and one of the UK's best-known parcel carriers, with express UK and international services and full tracking.

It offers next-day and timed UK delivery plus worldwide options, with signature on delivery, which makes it fully compatible with Secursus cover.

But its compensation is capped at £2,500 and excludes valuables, which is exactly where a top-up policy like Secursus helps.
