UPS insurance: what it covers and where it stops

Is my UPS parcel automatically insured? Not for its real value. Without a declared value, UPS's liability is limited to about £75 per shipment (or the applicable Convention amount for international air or road), not the value of the contents. Items UPS will not carry or cover
